Differential pressure gauge on dispensing booth
Dispensing booth (sampling booth or weighing booth)
Dispensing booth (sampling booth or weighing booth) is purifying equipment for material sampling, weighing, and analysis. Dispensing booth prevents the operators from powder contamination, thereby providing a safe and clean working environment. It provides vertical and unidirectional airflow producing negative pressure in the working area.
On dispensing booth, there are 3 - 4 differential pressure gauges. What is the function of these differential pressure gauges on the dispensing booth? Let's find out.
1. Differential pressure gauge application
A differential pressure gauge is a device used to measure differences in air pressure between two cleanrooms or in industrial filtration equipment. The differential pressure measurement will determine the cleanliness level of the cleanroom, the integrity of the filter.
On dispensing booth, the differential pressure gauge is used to measure the differential pressure of the filter. Find out more details in the following section.
2. Differential pressure gauge on dispensing booth
Inside the weighing booth, there are differential pressure gauges: one for pre-filter, one for medium filter, one for HEPA filter.
Differential pressure gauge for pre-filter
Differential pressure gauge displays the pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet of the pre-filter. When the value of this differential pressure gauge reaches the recommended differential pressure value, the pre-filter will be replaced as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will affect the performance of the pre-filter and the fine filter has to work harder. As a result, the life of the medium filter and HEPA filter is reduced.
Differential pressure gauge for medium filter
The differential pressure gauge for medium filter on dispensing booth displays the pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet of the medium filter. When the value of this differential pressure gauge reaches the recommended differential pressure value, the medium efficiency filter should be replaced as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will affect the filtration efficiency and the HEPA filter has to work harder. This will make the HEPA filter have a shorter life and poor performance.
Differential pressure gauge for HEPA filter
The differential pressure gauge displays the pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet of the high-efficiency filter (HEPA Filter). When the pressure difference reaches the required value, the HEPA filter should be replaced. Otherwise, it will affect the cleanliness of the dispensing booth and not meet the requirements of the production plant and the environment.
Negative pressure differential gauge
The gauge displays negative pressure difference inside dispensing booth and real-time monitor negative pressure value. If this value is not within the required range, you need to adjust the air velocity to control the exhaust air, thereby achieving the weighing booth negative pressure requirement.
To sum up, the function of the differential pressure gauge for air filters in the dispensing booth is to test the integrity of the filter and indicate the filter replacement time, ensuring the filter efficiency and cleanliness of dispensing booth. In addition, the function of the negative pressure differential gauge is to monitor the micro negative pressure environment of the dispensing booth ( sampling or weighing booth). It prevents the loss of negative pressure, affecting the laminar flow of the working area.
