What is a Double VCR Interlock?

An interlock is an auxiliary device designed to ensure that the doors of a room cannot be opened simultaneously, thereby guaranteeing isolation between clean and non-clean areas.

In the case of a Double VCR Interlock, it has the capability to control the opening and closing of two panel doors simultaneously. When door number 1 opens, door number 2 is forcibly closed, and door number 2 can only be opened after door number 1 has been closed.

Operation of the Double VCR Interlock

Installation Diagram for the Double Interlock

• The interlock control box is mounted on the panel ceiling, connected to an available socket (the shorter the distance between the control box and the socket, the better, to match the power supply cable of the lock and save wiring costs).
• The indicator light is attached to the wall panel in an easily observable area when entering/exiting, usually installed next to the panel door.
• The lock latch is installed underground inside the panel room (requires drilling and underground wiring), and it can be installed on the side or above the door frame.
• The lock latch positioning plate is attached to the door leaf, corresponding to the lock latch installation area.

In addition, there are some important installation precautions for interlock locks, including:

1. Tightly secure the signal connection wires to the lock latch and indicator light --> Error Alert: The alarm will sound loudly and continuously.

2. Install the lock latch and latch positioning plates in the same direction (marked as Wifi) on both accessories --> Error Alert: The latch won't function.

3. Reverse the signal wires between the indicator and the lock latch --> Error Alert: Cannot be installed. The signal wire of the lock latch is usually slightly thicker than the wire of the indicator, so be cautious during installation.

4. Use cable connection boxes and wire protection tubes to protect the signal wires on the ceiling from insect damage. Signal wires are different from power wires, and if they are cut or damaged, they are difficult to reconnect.
