The VCR-X4M Interlock is a type of interlock lock used to control four doors simultaneously. It operates similarly to other locks, where if one door is open, the other doors must remain closed. However, currently, there is very little demand in the market for this type of lock.

Operation Description of VCR-X4M Interlock

• When one door is opened, the other two doors will automatically close, and all three doors cannot be opened simultaneously.
• If one door remains open for an extended period, an alarm bell will sound to remind the staff to close the door.
• In case of a power outage, and for electronic interlock locks, all three doors can be opened to ensure user safety.
• In case of an emergency, the emergency button can be pressed to forcefully open the door.

• The interlock control unit will be installed on the ceiling panel, connected to an existing socket (the shorter the distance between the control unit and the socket, the better, to align with the lock's power cord and save wiring costs).
• The indicator lights will be mounted on the panel wall, in an easily observable area when entering or exiting, typically installed beside the panel door.
• The locking mechanism will be installed within the panel wall (requiring wall drilling and concealed wiring), either on the side or above the door frame.
• The lock positioning plate will be attached to the door leaf, corresponding to the location of the locking mechanism.

Additionally, there are some important considerations during the installation of interlock:

1. Securely install signal connection wires to the locking mechanism and indicator lights.

   ---> Error indication: The alarm will sound loudly and continuously.

2. Install the locking mechanism and lock positioning plate in the same orientation (Wifi symbol) on both accessories.

   ---> Error indication: The lock will not operate.

3. Avoid reversing the signal wires between the indicator light and the locking mechanism.

   ---> Error indication: Unable to install. The signal wire of the locking mechanism is typically slightly thicker than the wire for the indicator light. Please take note during installation.

4. Use wire boxes and conduits to protect signal wires on the ceiling, preventing damage from insects. Signal wires are different from power cables and can be challenging to repair if damaged.
